Warranty:
There is a one month settling period from the day of arrival of the product that we will fix or replace a part if NATURAL cracks appear.
Outside of the one month settling period there is no warranty expressed or implied for any product sold at Jeffers bagpipes. All damage whether natural or inflicted by the end user is the sole responsibly of the current bagpipe owner. Repairs and replacement parts are done at the full current price of service for that item.
All items purchased and shipped are the buyers responsibility upon the moment of arrival at their destination.
Please understand that due to the nature and rarity of the materials used in my bagpipe construction these rules must be adhered to, no exceptions.
Returns:
There are no returns expressed or implied starting from the moment an item is shipped. This rule will be strictly adhered to, no exceptions.
Deposit Information:
All orders require a NONREFUNDABLE deposit in order to be added to our waiting list. This deposit will be subtracted from your total cost at the completion of your order.
This cost goes to raw materials to build the bagpipe set or chanter. That material must be on hand ahead of your build time.
By making the deposit you agree to the terms that the deposit is nonrefundable. These terms will be emailed to you again to agree to or not, before you place the order.
Drone deposit for full imitation-ivory or full Moose antler sets is $500
Drone deposit for any set mounted in silver is $1200 (Deposit for just silver slides with a set is $850)
African Blackwood chanter deposit is $100
Wood Standards & Mounting Materials:
The exotic woods we use to make bagpipes and chanters from have become extremely rare in musical grade perfect defect free pieces. We go through exhaustive searches for quality wood to use, however, it should be understood that we follow the same techniques as other woodwind makers around the world, in that, if there is a small repairable flaw in the wood we do repair the piece and use it. That is the nature of using a natural material and the only responsible way to continue using exotic tropical woods that are becoming rare and hard to get in perfect pieces. Please note that if a piece of wood is badly cracked in the drying process we would never consider using it. The above information is regarding small defects in the wood that are extremely common in some species.
Moose antler as a natural product and will have some amount of mixed coloration such as gray and brown colors mixed in with the creamy white main color. It will also have natural pores in it and can contain very fine natural cracking. We do our best to cut around these issues and make the antler as sooth as possible.
